Walls between the kitchen, dining, and living areas were removed to connect the spaces, and the enclosed front porch was insulated to create a mudroom with a five-foot cased opening to the living room. The rear addition, previously a bedroom suite, was converted into a dining room with pocket doors. Another five-foot opening was added at the bottom of the stairs to create a clear sightline from the front of the home to the back.

In the backyard, we first added a large deck. In 2024, we rebuilt the garage with living space above for a future office or in-law suite and designed the yard to include a pool, making the space feel larger and more usable.
